Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency (SSPA)

The Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency (SSPA) was established to implement Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) activities for families affected by the Sardar Sarovar Project (SSP). The agency ensures that Project Affected Families (PAFs) are provided with housing, basic infrastructure, and livelihood support in new settlements. SSPA’s mandate goes beyond relocation; it focuses on rehabilitation through empowerment, vocational training, education, healthcare, and income generation programs. It operates through specialized cells like Engineering, Agriculture, Education, Medical, and R&D, and promotes community development via Self-Help Groups and Farmer Clubs.
